NESA is a platform for regional security cooperation run by the United States Department of Defense. Its primary goal is to improve mutual understanding and collaboration among military and civilian representatives from the Near East and South Asia regions. NESA runs a number of events, workshops, and projects intended to encourage discourse, strengthen ties, and tackle common security concerns faced by participating countries. These difficulties frequently include counterterrorism, regional stability, military collaboration, defense policy, and a variety of sociopolitical issues affecting the broader security picture.
This momentous gathering brought together prominent figures such as Dr. Hassan Abbas (representing NESA), Ambassador Farooq Sobhan, and a slew of distinguished delegates and intellectuals from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the United States. Their united participation and intelligent remarks provided an extensive range of viewpoints and strategic insights into the subsequent events.
BCIPA and NESA’s partnership illustrates a shared commitment to encouraging collaboration, understanding, and dialogue on crucial regional security challenges. This partnership highlighted the importance of developing long-term policies for the Indo-Pacific region.
